OUR FAMILY
We are a family of 7 humans, and a growing number of fur babies. My husband and I were both born and raised in the Mobile area and moved to Texas after getting married. The year we moved back we decided to have our first litter, after years of research. We raise our kids with puppies and raise puppies with our kids, so to speak! Our 5 boys range in age from 3 to 15, so we never have a dull moment. Our puppies are no strangers to being handled by tiny hands and we absolutely love that!
Before starting our Breeding program, we had Millie, our F1 Bernedoodle. She stole our hearts more than we could’ve ever imagined! We saw the need for families to experience bringing a puppy home the right way! So we armed ourselves with countless hours of research into genetics, proper breeding practices, and curriculum for raising puppies. We love being the first hands these puppies feel and watching them take their first breath, first steps, and meeting their new families. We are so thankful you have chosen us to love and raise your next family member.

Bernedoodles
The Bernedoodle is a designer breed that combines the best qualities of the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle. Known for their intelligence, loyalty, and loving personalities, Bernedoodles make wonderful family companions. They’re playful and affectionate like the Bernese, yet intelligent and low-shedding like the Poodle — the perfect mix of beauty, brains, and heart.
Bernedoodles come in a variety of sizes and colors, often featuring the signature tricolor coat of the Bernese. Their coats can range from wavy to curly, making them an excellent choice for families who prefer a more hypoallergenic dog.
At Southern Oak Breeders, our Bernedoodles are raised with care, socialized from birth, and nurtured in a family environment. Each puppy is bred for health, temperament, and companionship, so they grow into confident, gentle dogs who bring joy to every home.

Our Mission
We are very hands on Breeders who take pride in helping to develop each milestone that will empower your puppy to fill the role they were meant to fill. Our puppies are raised inside our home, providing them with all the love, attention, and handling they deserve! We breed for health, temperament, beauty, and trainability. Anyone can whelp a dog, but it’s what happens in the first weeks of life that dramatically change their ability to be trained quickly and understand their role. We believe that Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) is the key to raising empowered, equipped, and well-rounded puppies. We use The Ultimate Badass Breeder’s Guide methods for ENS.
With intentional, responsible breeding, and genetic testing, we reduce the risk of genetic defects, resulting in longer lifespans. We have hand-selected our breeding dogs to help achieve our goal of delivering a premium quality puppy that has been well cared for, socialized, and well-handled before going to their forever homes.
